In a major milestone, JTRE London has appointed JRL Group as principal contractor for the £400m 220 Blackfriars mixed-use development at 220 Blackfriars in London SE1.

 

The awarded package, valued at circa £30m, includes the delivery of piling, basement box and superstructure works as part of the wider scheme.

Construction milestone for the development

While some developers are holding back due to economic uncertainty, JTRE London and JRL Group are pushing forward with a positive outlook for the London market.

The contractor appointment represents JTRE London’s commitment to the delivery of the 220 Blackfriars project, which is being developed in partnership with Southwark Charities.

220 Blackfriars is located close to London Blackfriars station, providing Thameslink rail services across London and direct connections to Gatwick Airport.
